[There's a funny Dilbert about this: A lady is asked to finish the documentation for the software within some really tight deadline. She asks "How am I supposed to do that when the software itself isn't even finished?" She ends up writing some stuff that's pretty cynical but almost true, ~ "Your computer will freeze up and give some uninformative error message. Nothing you do will seem to fix it." That's the only certainty of all software she knew she could write about.]
