Today's program touched on a number of different issues relevant to Christians today... Definitely worth listening to.

An incident that happened in a [public school (category)] classroom recently:

A teacher led a discussion with e's students -- 14-15-year-olds -- about some of the perverse, lewd acts that people of a homosexual lifestyle participate in. Completely inappropriate!

[To do: Clarification, details ... what kind of "acts" are we talking about?]

But what boggles the mind is that e required each of the students to sign a non-disclosure agreement saying that they would not repeat outside the classroom what took place or what was discussed.

Did they actually think they could keep it a secret? Anyway, they've been found out now, and hopefully they will be busted for it.

Vic (and several other callers) were of the impression that this was criminal, that this teacher should be arrested and charged ([To do: with what?]) to the maximum extent under the law. Apparently the parents of one/some of the students are bringing a suit against the school. One caller (and I) strongly believed that they needed to win that suit (and hoped that the judge would reward even more than what was asked for).

This teacher was polluting these children's minds.

Shouldn't they have a right to immunity from such perverted influences? (Especially during their formative years?) (Yes, they should!) Shouldn't they have a right to not have to hear about these detestable acts? Shouldn't they have a right to try to keep their minds pure?

[The ACLU (category)] ("American Criminal Liberties Union")

[Tolerance (category)]

Imagine if the [roles] had been reversed here. Imagine if the teacher, instead of inculcating tolerance for homosexuality, had been a Christian who was explaining to the students [how homosexuality is an abomination and how the Bible speaks against it]?

That teacher would have been fired, very probably. [The ACLU (category)] would make sure of it.

But if we try to get a pro-homosexual teacher fired for teaching kids how to become homosexuals, [the ACLU (category)] would have a fit and decry such a thing as a "violation of civil liberties".

Is there a double standard here?

A discussion about so-called Christian schools which don't always actually teach Christian morals...

[Fleeing from evil (category)]

It seems that some people have the desire to get as close as they can to [evil/temptation] without partaking of it. They want to get near it and observe it and learn about it, but not participate in it.

But the Bible doesn't say "Observe evil" or "Study the devil's ways so that you can try to outsmart him". It actually says "Flee from temptation" and "Resist/flee from the devil".

Don't flirt with danger; stay as far away from it as possible!

The devil and his workers often know the Bible as well as many Christians and can quote from it [to their benefit]. satan himself was quoted in the Bible to have quoted from the Bible.

Vic shared a story about how 15 years ago he was talking to a security [officer] at a public school whose job it was to occasionally do locker inspections.

They found at least two lockers (one of them was locker 666) that were just full of stuff about witchcraft and the occult. It was a virtual library of books on these topics. Including a hand-written [book] about how to kill your parents.

Talked about some of the events held by homosexual activists -- week-long conventions and such, where [homosexuals proudly parade around] and "lewd acts" were committed, even out on the streets apparently.

[To do: Need to get details]

It was mentioned that of course [the news (category)] doesn't/didn't report on any of those aspects of the events... They would have us believe that the attendees are fine upstanding people of good moral character.

Unfortunately that's just not the case. And it's unfortunate that "the news" would only tell half of the story, the parts that make homosexuals look good.

[Homosexual (category)][Homosexual agenda (category)]

One important fact about the homosexual lifestyle is that homosexuals can't reproduce!

The only way that they can get more "members" is to brainwash kids into becoming homosexuals. That's why they're targeting education, and in particular elementary schools, so strongly. They have to try to keep inculcating kids at a young age that the homosexual lifestyle is acceptable, common, and even good, otherwise homosexuals will become extinct (after the current generation passes away) and future generations will go back to having a natural sexual identity and orientation, believing that heterosexuality is the only natural "orientation" available and -- with the lack of influences to tell them otherwise -- will probably think homosexuality is disgusting and wrong...

If the homosexuals get their way, then everyone will be converted to a homosexual lifestyle and our species will stop reproducing and become extinct!

Is that not evidence in itself that homosexuality is a deviation from the way humans were made to behave (whether you believe in Creation or even Evolution origins!)?

[Moral compass (category)]

One caller, who didn't believe in the Bible, was asked by Vic what his "moral compass" was.

At first he said that it would probably be "whatever the societal norms are".

Vic played hardball and pushed him, "So if everyone in society were cannibals, you would be a cannibal too?" To which he responded, "Yeah, probably..."

But Vic kept pressing, insisting that the caller must have some some moral compass.

The caller tried again: ~"Then it must be the laws and the Constitution [upon] which this country was founded..."

Vic then asked, ~"But what morals was the Constitution based on? What morals did the founding fathers have? From where did they get their idea of what's 'right'?"

I think that just about stumped the caller. But admittedly, he was kind of put on the spot.
