[edit] There's only one horn tone, and it's too aggressive sounding
I want some way to communicate messages such as, "You came a little bit too close there, buddy. Please try to be a little bit more careful."
I'm afraid to use the horn I have though, because I'm afraid it will communicate a rather different message, though: "Hey idiot, watch where you're going!"
It also be nice to have a friendly horn tone, one that you could use to say hi to friends as he passed them by.
I can see a horn tone industry booming in the near future, much like the ring tone industry followed closely on the heels of cell phones.
[edit] The need for another tone
Say someone is ahead of you with blinker on to go in your lane. How do you communicate, "Go!" Honking your horn is ambiguous and would be equally likely to be be misunderstood as "Don't go!"
Say you're at a 4-way stop and you're in an awkward standoff with another driver. If you want to yield to them, you should be able to honk "Go ahead!"
What if you have a better view around the corner that another driver doesn't have and he's hesitant as to whether he can make it. You should be able to communicate, "The coast is clear! Go for it! You'll make it!"
